ConkerTU Local will give you the choice of attending either a morning or afternoon session as we’d like to involve as many folk as possible. A lot of local groups will be presenting their work and ideas, so we can start to capture some feedback about the success and popularity of these and build some truly sustainable action from the event.

As more and more media direct us to blogs, Facebook and Twitter, isn't time we started to claim this new technology for ourselves? 

The Save Moira Fire Station campaign used all of the above and since local Parish and Town Councils are following suit, we're keen to share some of their achievements and ideas with you at a free event for all the family at Conkers Waterside.

We're also inviting one or two folk from further afield - The Tamworth Blog is nearly a year old and now a thriving resource for the town. There'll be supervised play for the little ones as well, a gaming station for the teens and a showcase of up and coming local bands in the Amphitheatre too!

We need to know numbers because we'd like to feed you – it's a ConkerTU tradition!  Bring a spud for us to bake and we'll serve it with some delicious Sparkenhoe Cheese – the only Red Leicester made in the county!

This will be your ticket, so bring it with you.  Come in the morning or the afternoon and if you fancy some fun in the evening Donisthorpe invites you to Wassail in the Village Orchard, leaving “The Engine” at 7pm.
